I am always impressed with JCrew’s social media/website. If you are a fan, have you ever noticed that (almost) every link they give you on their Facebook page takes you directly to their website? Each link seems to have it’s own landing page. (step one-click the link)  (step two- arrive on this landing page with lots of fun things to click on) (step 3- get click happy all over their website) It makes their website a daily destination for people. Take notice also that they don’t have the “like” button everywhere and they don’t host their videos on YouTube. I don’t know if they are just behind the times (probably not) or if they just don’t think those things match their look(they do have to worry about style where others of us don’t). On this same note, I really think that some brands are the exception to the rule(insert any marketing rule here). They are so popular that they don’t have to worry about the same things us smaller brands worry about- video views, getting our name out- they can just worry about being cool. All in all, I like how JCrew always takes you to their website from their Facebook page. I always end up shopping around.
